Beauty has been a passion of mine since I was 15 years old. What started as a love for beauty grew into a dream of building something of my own.

At 21, I moved to the UK, ready to create a new life and pursue that dream. Just a year later, at 22, I opened my first little salon.

It was the beginning of something I had dreamed about for years. I started small, worked hard and built my business one client at a time. There were plenty of challenges along the way, but I kept learning, improving and pushing myself forward.

Then came one of the hardest chapters of my journey.

I experienced bankruptcy, and for a while, everything I had worked so hard to build felt like it had been taken away.

But I refused to give up.

I took out a small loan, started again and rebuilt my business from the ground up. Looking back, that chapter taught me some of the most valuable lessons of my career. I learned from my mistakes, became more careful with my decisions and developed an even stronger understanding of what it takes to build and maintain a successful business.

Eventually, my hard work paid off. I moved from my little salon into a bigger space, allowing The Beauty Spot to grow into what it is today.

Over the years, I’ve continued to develop myself professionally, gaining qualifications, expanding my skills and being fortunate enough to receive recognition for my work within the beauty industry.

But I never stopped learning.

Even today, I continue to invest in my education, learn new techniques, keep up with the industry and develop my skills. I believe that being a great beauty professional — and a great educator — means always being willing to learn something new.

And then came the next chapter: teaching.

After years of working hands-on in the beauty industry and building my own business, I wanted to share what I’d learned with others.

I created TBS Academy to help aspiring beauty professionals gain the knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to start or grow their own journey in the industry.

Today, I am proud to be a beauty professional, salon owner and educator.

What once started as a small salon with just me has grown into TBS Salon & Academy, with a talented team around me and an academy where I can help others turn their own passion for beauty into something more.

My journey hasn’t been perfect — and that’s exactly what makes it mine.

I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had setbacks. I’ve started again.

But I’ve never stopped learning, never stopped growing and never stopped believing in what I could build.

And now, I’m passionate about helping you do the same. 🤍
